Trailer Editor/Music Supervisor -
“There are 3 versions of the trailer with different runtimes. The biggest challenge was the music. After listening to 100-120 pieces of music, then downloading 20-25, I eventually went with 4 different musicians/pieces of music for the full trailer.” - RR
After I found the perfect music to cut the comedy section I then needed to figure out how to bring the heart of the story, aka mother/daughter story, into the trailer. I went back to the same musician’s libaraby and found the piano piece to open the trailer.
Writer/Director David Bellantoni and I met at a play in NYC that a mutual friend was producing. The conversation quickly turned to film and he shared his story about his Mom who battled Lewy body dementia and the film “Three Kings” he had just finished filming. I told him I lost my Grandmother to the same.
Director/Editor/Music & Post Supervisor/Colorist
The biggest challenge was the shoot itself. A cold, windy, snowy day in NYC. The opening shots pass quickly, but we were out there for many hours to capture them.
Documentary Film and Trailer Editor
I was originally asked to direct this film, but due to a medical issue at the time, I had to pass. After differences of opinion, the producer gave the film back to me to edit.
